Taking Care of Your Teeth

Our mouth is home to a group of bacteria, we nourish them with sugary food and sticky food. When we eat and drink, the waste is left behind in the form of biofilms that we call dental plaque. Because of this plaque, these tiny body stick to our teeth until they build up acid. In such a situation, the enamel of the teeth becomes weak and because of that cavity occurs which gets recycled after eating and drinking anything. During this process, bacteria can damage the teeth in our mouth. The bacteria present in the plaque that builds up around the gums make toxic substances, which enter the gum tissue and cause gingivitis. If left untreated, it turns into periodontitis and weakens the bone and tissue around the teeth.

It is essential to ensure that you are taking care of your teeth since they increase your beauty. If you are worried about your bad breath make sure you take care of your teeth and your mouth properly. To maintain the health of the teeth, it is necessary to take oral care so that any kind of problems related to teeth and gums can be avoided. If you ignore any kind of problem as a small problem, then it can come in the form of a big problem or disease.

Common ways of keeping teeth clean

Cleaning the teeth properly and maintaining good oral hygiene are of utmost importance. This will prevent the decaying of teeth and also oral diseases.


Brushing 2 times daily is the first way to take care of your teeth. Brushing at night is most important. Gently brush your teeth on all sides. Use a soft-bristle brush and fluoride toothpaste and move it in a small circular motions and short back-and-forth strokes. Brush carefully and gently along your gum line and brush your tongue to help keep your mouth clean.


Flossing is an essential part of taking care of your teeth and gums. Flossing means cleaning by 27 to 30%.  Clean your teeth with dental floss. Flossing removes plaque and leftover food that a toothbrush can't reach. Rinse after you floss.

Dry Brushing:

 After every meal or munching just take your brush and brush it without paste. It works wonders. Maintain the time of at least 3 minutes for brushing.


Brushing is not the only key aspect. You should gargle each time you eat, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Do not brush immediately after drinking soda. But do gargle. You can also use a diluted mouth rinse. It also protects your teeth from plaque and bad odor.

Regular dental screening and clean-up:

Remember to see your dentist every 3 to 6months for a routine checkup and Professional Cleansing.  Plan routine check-ups of your teeth to your dentist for preventing major injury.
